1
00:00:40,399 --> 00:00:43,399
uh

2
00:00:47,130 --> 00:00:54,079
[Music]

3
00:00:52,320 --> 00:00:55,760
though we have faith

4
00:00:54,079 --> 00:00:57,840
and reasonable hope for forgiveness we

5
00:00:55,760 --> 00:01:01,680
must each face the fact that our actions

6
00:00:57,840 --> 00:01:01,680
create a banquet of consequences

7
00:01:02,079 --> 00:01:05,680
in your case you may think this is a

8
00:01:03,680 --> 00:01:08,640
mean supper

9
00:01:05,680 --> 00:01:08,640
but you chose it

10
00:01:09,439 --> 00:01:15,600
if your mother were alive

11
00:01:12,880 --> 00:01:17,280
she think this is best

12
00:01:15,600 --> 00:01:18,320
whatever father said to you don't take

13
00:01:17,280 --> 00:01:19,920
it to heart

14
00:01:18,320 --> 00:01:22,400
kent and i have a little present for you

15
00:01:19,920 --> 00:01:22,400
for later

16
00:01:24,320 --> 00:01:27,840
you'll be late for the train

17
00:01:32,420 --> 00:02:15,750
[Music]

18
00:02:28,400 --> 00:02:31,400
foreign

19
00:02:47,360 --> 00:02:50,599
thank you

20
00:02:58,959 --> 00:03:02,959
hello

21
00:03:00,319 --> 00:03:05,360
my dear you look just like your mother

22
00:03:02,959 --> 00:03:06,879
i was so sorry to hear she passed away

23
00:03:05,360 --> 00:03:08,400
thank you

24
00:03:06,879 --> 00:03:11,200
is this it

25
00:03:08,400 --> 00:03:11,200
for now yes

26
00:03:13,360 --> 00:03:17,120
well

27
00:03:14,480 --> 00:03:19,680
we have quite a little drive ahead of us

28
00:03:17,120 --> 00:03:24,120
do you need to use the station services

29
00:03:19,680 --> 00:03:24,120
yes please pardon me

30
00:03:35,200 --> 00:03:42,849
[Music]

31
00:03:44,319 --> 00:03:47,840
out here they grow mostly grains bit of

32
00:03:46,560 --> 00:03:50,560
sugar beets

33
00:03:47,840 --> 00:03:50,560
vegetables

34
00:03:51,519 --> 00:03:56,560
oh gasoline shortage for farmers they

35
00:03:53,760 --> 00:03:56,560
get all they want

36
00:03:56,720 --> 00:04:02,920
no sugar shortage either

37
00:03:59,599 --> 00:04:02,920
that's nice

38
00:04:05,310 --> 00:04:16,260
[Music]

39
00:04:13,930 --> 00:04:17,060
[Applause]

40
00:04:16,260 --> 00:04:19,220
[Music]

41
00:04:17,060 --> 00:04:24,960
[Applause]

42
00:04:19,220 --> 00:04:27,960
[Music]

43
00:04:24,960 --> 00:04:27,960

64
00:06:14,160 --> 00:06:17,199
to see me in person

65
00:06:17,759 --> 00:06:22,880
do you have any doubts

66
00:06:20,400 --> 00:06:22,880
no ma'am

67
00:06:24,080 --> 00:06:26,720

68
00:06:28,000 --> 00:06:33,400

me

74
00:06:51,680 --> 00:06:54,800

to give one another hope when there is

89
00:07:34,800 --> 00:07:39,360
sorrow strength when there is weakness

90
00:07:37,599 --> 00:07:41,599
faith and understanding when there is

91
00:07:39,360 --> 00:07:43,840
confusion or doubt

92
00:07:41,599 --> 00:07:46,479
in such a love we are sustained on this

93
00:07:43,840 --> 00:07:50,639
earthly life just as we hope for eternal

94
00:07:46,479 --> 00:07:50,639

125
00:10:16,800 --> 00:10:20,720

126
00:10:18,480 --> 00:10:24,600

127
00:10:20,720 --> 00:10:24,600

136
00:11:46,480 --> 00:11:51,200
this was martha's room

137
00:11:48,640 --> 00:11:54,389
and

138
00:11:51,200 --> 00:11:54,389
[Music]

139
00:11:59,070 --> 00:12:03,519
[Music]

140
00:12:01,519 --> 00:12:05,519
this was my parents room where you'll be

141
00:12:03,519 --> 00:12:07,540
staying

142
00:12:05,519 --> 00:12:11,990

143
00:12:07,540 --> 00:12:11,990
[Music]

144
00:12:15,600 --> 00:12:21,399
this is the bunk room

145
00:12:18,200 --> 00:12:21,399
[Applause]

146
00:12:23,360 --> 00:12:27,040
you have a brother

147
00:12:25,200 --> 00:12:31,360

148
00:12:27,040 --> 00:12:31,360

150
00:12:37,440 --> 00:12:41,360
indoor plumbing

151
00:12:39,680 --> 00:12:43,519
hot water

152
00:12:41,360 --> 00:12:46,480
cold water

153
00:12:43,519 --> 00:12:46,480
i just put that in

154
00:12:49,600 --> 00:12:52,399

155
00:12:50,839 --> 00:12:54,240
telephone

156
00:12:52,399 --> 00:12:58,040
well there's a phone box in wilson

157
00:12:54,240 --> 00:12:58,040
outside the post office

158
00:13:12,480 --> 00:13:16,959
tomorrow i'll get anything you want to

159
00:13:14,160 --> 00:13:16,959
stock the kitchen

160
00:13:17,360 --> 00:13:21,440

161
00:13:18,839 --> 00:13:22,800
cook i mean i could i just haven't

162
00:13:21,440 --> 00:13:26,560
really tried

163
00:13:22,800 --> 00:13:26,560
yeah i can cook a fair bit

164
00:13:27,680 --> 00:13:31,519
my sister could come over and teach you

165
00:13:29,440 --> 00:13:33,279
no it's fine you know it shouldn't be

166
00:13:31,519 --> 00:13:36,720
that hard

167
00:13:33,279 --> 00:13:36,720
i can get a book from the library

168
00:13:39,600 --> 00:13:44,800
is there a library

169
00:13:41,680 --> 00:13:44,800
oh yeah in the hunter

170
00:13:45,199 --> 00:13:49,839
that's an hour away yeah about that

171
00:13:58,399 --> 00:14:03,839
the reverend said you'd had lots of

172
00:14:00,839 --> 00:14:05,760
schooling i was in graduate school

173
00:14:03,839 --> 00:14:07,839
studying archaeology

174
00:14:05,760 --> 00:14:11,040
my college thesis was heinrich

175
00:14:07,839 --> 00:14:12,399
schliemann's excavation of troy

176
00:14:11,040 --> 00:14:13,360
is he german

177
00:14:12,399 --> 00:14:16,480
yes

178
00:14:13,360 --> 00:14:19,480
is he a nazi no he he lived in the 19th

179
00:14:16,480 --> 00:14:19,480
century

180
00:14:34,959 --> 00:14:39,360
uh mrs pratt

181
00:14:36,959 --> 00:14:43,120
from church she uh

182
00:14:39,360 --> 00:14:43,120
she makes me a cake nearly every week

183
00:14:43,519 --> 00:14:47,600
this one's uh

184
00:14:45,680 --> 00:14:49,120
chocolate i think

185
00:14:47,600 --> 00:14:51,519
yeah

186
00:14:49,120 --> 00:14:53,760
can i cut you a slice

187
00:14:51,519 --> 00:14:57,639
no thank you

188
00:14:53,760 --> 00:14:57,639
i will save it then

189
00:14:59,680 --> 00:15:01,920
ray

190
00:15:02,560 --> 00:15:04,880
um

191
00:15:05,120 --> 00:15:08,240
i was just wondering

192
00:15:09,680 --> 00:15:13,560
why you agreed to this

193
00:15:14,480 --> 00:15:17,760
when the reverend

194
00:15:15,920 --> 00:15:20,880
come out to see me and told me about

195
00:15:17,760 --> 00:15:20,880
your situation

196
00:15:22,560 --> 00:15:25,800
i thought

197
00:15:26,000 --> 00:15:28,320
thought

198
00:15:28,639 --> 00:15:31,759
maybe it'd be god's will

199
00:15:32,000 --> 00:15:34,639
god's will

200
00:15:37,839 --> 00:15:43,120
you want anything else

201
00:15:40,399 --> 00:15:43,120
no thank you

202
00:15:44,160 --> 00:15:48,000
farmers get to bed early you have

203
00:15:45,759 --> 00:15:49,040
everything you need

204
00:15:48,000 --> 00:15:50,160
yes

205
00:15:49,040 --> 00:15:53,320
thank you

206
00:15:50,160 --> 00:15:53,320
all right

207
00:15:54,320 --> 00:15:58,680
good night

208
00:15:55,440 --> 00:15:58,680
good night

209
00:16:16,480 --> 00:16:19,480
so

210
00:16:40,160 --> 00:16:43,160
so

211
00:17:25,120 --> 00:17:28,120
oh

212
00:17:41,570 --> 00:17:44,829
[Music]

213
00:17:48,450 --> 00:17:52,180
[Music]

214
00:18:03,600 --> 00:18:06,600
uh

215
00:18:24,160 --> 00:18:27,160
now

216
00:18:28,480 --> 00:18:31,480
uh

217
00:18:40,250 --> 00:19:09,630
[Music]

218
00:19:17,280 --> 00:19:20,309
[Music]

219
00:19:35,679 --> 00:19:38,679
oh

220
00:19:44,400 --> 00:19:48,080
good morning

221
00:19:45,919 --> 00:19:50,240
good morning

222
00:19:48,080 --> 00:19:53,600
i can't believe i slept so late

223
00:19:50,240 --> 00:19:55,520
you needed your rest

224
00:19:53,600 --> 00:19:56,480
frankly no hey

225
00:19:55,520 --> 00:19:57,919
come here

226
00:19:56,480 --> 00:20:01,280
come here

227
00:19:57,919 --> 00:20:01,280
he won't hurt you good boy

228
00:20:01,760 --> 00:20:04,720
i thought i'd drive into la hunter today

229
00:20:03,679 --> 00:20:06,240
um

230
00:20:04,720 --> 00:20:07,919
maybe look around town let the family

231
00:20:06,240 --> 00:20:09,039
know that i'm here could i borrow the

232
00:20:07,919 --> 00:20:10,880
truck

233
00:20:09,039 --> 00:20:13,039
oh well uh

234
00:20:10,880 --> 00:20:14,400
beatbox has a mind of its own

235
00:20:13,039 --> 00:20:16,799
the beatbox

236
00:20:14,400 --> 00:20:19,120
i use that truck to haul my beats

237
00:20:16,799 --> 00:20:21,280
hey it's best if i drive you over

238
00:20:19,120 --> 00:20:23,919
oh i mean i'm sure you have things you

239
00:20:21,280 --> 00:20:24,960
need to do no bother i'm glad to do it

240
00:20:23,919 --> 00:20:26,720
just uh

241
00:20:24,960 --> 00:20:27,919
get my library card

242
00:20:26,720 --> 00:20:30,919
in case you want to check out some

243
00:20:27,919 --> 00:20:30,919
cookbooks

244
00:20:39,039 --> 00:20:42,159
are those tomatoes

245
00:20:42,960 --> 00:20:45,960
potatoes

246
00:20:48,000 --> 00:20:52,159
some of the fields are empty you bet

247
00:20:52,720 --> 00:20:56,720
why

248
00:20:54,480 --> 00:20:58,320
well we harvested the first cash crop

249
00:20:56,720 --> 00:21:00,840
winter wheat

250
00:20:58,320 --> 00:21:02,799
next we'll harvest them beets and those

251
00:21:00,840 --> 00:21:05,440
potatoes

252
00:21:02,799 --> 00:21:05,440
may i help

253
00:21:05,520 --> 00:21:08,400
i doubt it

254
00:21:09,760 --> 00:21:15,080
you're right i

255
00:21:11,120 --> 00:21:15,080
i don't know anything about farming

256
00:21:16,799 --> 00:21:21,080
he's got the house to take care of

257
00:21:40,159 --> 00:21:44,559
you need any change

258
00:21:41,679 --> 00:21:48,120
uh no i have it thank you

259
00:21:44,559 --> 00:21:48,120
i'll be in the library

260
00:22:08,000 --> 00:22:14,320
are you expecting a little one yes ma'am

261
00:22:10,159 --> 00:22:14,320
we are oh wonderful yes ma'am

262
00:22:19,120 --> 00:22:22,240
do you have any books on henry

263
00:22:21,200 --> 00:22:24,640
schliemann

264
00:22:22,240 --> 00:22:26,240
is that s.h or sch well your guess is

265
00:22:24,640 --> 00:22:29,360
better than mine i think he was an

266
00:22:26,240 --> 00:22:31,039
archaeologist let me have a look

267
00:22:29,360 --> 00:22:32,799
if father wanted to punish me he's done

268
00:22:31,039 --> 00:22:36,159
a great job

269
00:22:32,799 --> 00:22:40,080
oh livy don't cry

270
00:22:36,159 --> 00:22:40,960
oh honesty horrid

271
00:22:40,080 --> 00:22:42,480
no

272
00:22:40,960 --> 00:22:43,600
no

273
00:22:42,480 --> 00:22:45,919
livy

274
00:22:43,600 --> 00:22:48,880
if he mistreats you for even one second

275
00:22:45,919 --> 00:22:48,880
i'm coming to get you

276
00:22:50,640 --> 00:22:54,799
abby

277
00:22:52,240 --> 00:22:56,960
is there any word from edward

278
00:22:54,799 --> 00:22:56,960
no

279
00:22:57,520 --> 00:22:59,600
no

280
00:22:58,480 --> 00:23:02,000
remember

281
00:22:59,600 --> 00:23:04,400
this isn't forever

282
00:23:02,000 --> 00:23:04,400
i know

283
00:23:05,840 --> 00:23:10,480
all right now the clutch tends to stick

284
00:23:07,440 --> 00:23:10,480
you got to use off slow

285
00:23:15,679 --> 00:23:19,000
there you go

286
00:23:28,320 --> 00:23:30,080
that's it

287
00:23:28,860 --> 00:23:32,799
[Music]

288
00:23:30,080 --> 00:23:32,799
this is easy

289
00:23:33,120 --> 00:23:36,480
[Music]

290
00:23:34,960 --> 00:23:37,440
now the gas gauge says full but it

291
00:23:36,480 --> 00:23:38,640
doesn't

292
00:23:37,440 --> 00:23:40,159
you got to hit it just right and it'll

293
00:23:38,640 --> 00:23:41,520
tell you the truth for one split second

294
00:23:40,159 --> 00:23:42,960
then it shoots right back up there to

295
00:23:41,520 --> 00:23:45,200
full

296
00:23:42,960 --> 00:23:48,640
where do i hit it

297
00:23:45,200 --> 00:23:51,679
right there just give it a pop

298
00:23:48,640 --> 00:23:52,960
yeah quickly

299
00:23:51,679 --> 00:23:54,559
that's it

300
00:23:52,960 --> 00:23:58,320
without the tank

301
00:23:54,559 --> 00:23:58,320
the gas cans in back just in case

302
00:23:59,039 --> 00:24:02,760
wow look at that

303
00:24:10,000 --> 00:24:14,159
that's an internment camp yes it is

304
00:24:12,240 --> 00:24:16,480
farms are short-handed the government

305
00:24:14,159 --> 00:24:20,240
needs the food so they send the workers

306
00:24:16,480 --> 00:24:23,180
they work your phone powerful

307
00:24:20,240 --> 00:24:37,840
yes i do

308
00:24:23,180 --> 00:24:40,090
[Music]

309
00:24:37,840 --> 00:24:48,079
oh

310
00:24:40,090 --> 00:24:48,079
[Music]

311
00:24:51,280 --> 00:24:56,750
[Applause]

312
00:24:54,080 --> 00:25:01,039
is

313
00:24:56,750 --> 00:25:01,039
[Music]

314
00:25:02,410 --> 00:25:07,720
[Applause]

315
00:25:04,720 --> 00:25:07,720
is

316
00:25:10,370 --> 00:25:19,269
[Music]

317
00:25:16,000 --> 00:25:19,269
[Applause]

318
00:25:19,520 --> 00:25:24,480
lord

319
00:25:21,440 --> 00:25:26,840
we pray for the relief of suffering

320
00:25:24,480 --> 00:25:30,240
and an end to war throughout the

321
00:25:26,840 --> 00:25:30,240
world oh man

322
00:25:31,919 --> 00:25:34,880
it's been dying to me too she's my

323
00:25:34,000 --> 00:25:36,799
oldest

324
00:25:34,880 --> 00:25:38,000
hi ruth i'm livi and the boys are

325
00:25:36,799 --> 00:25:39,919
running around but they'll come in when

326
00:25:38,000 --> 00:25:42,000
they realize the food's in here

327
00:25:39,919 --> 00:25:45,600

you must not be from here we've been so

341
00:26:12,720 --> 00:26:16,320
worried about ray the way things have

342
00:26:14,400 --> 00:26:18,400
played out here and not a single young

343
00:26:16,320 --> 00:26:19,600
woman to speak up and ray's such a fine

344
00:26:18,400 --> 00:26:22,400
young man

345

360
00:27:18,320 --> 00:27:24,399
it's right shallow for swimming

361
00:27:20,880 --> 00:27:24,399
it's two feet of silt down there

362

365
00:27:41,940 --> 00:27:45,079
[Music]

366
00:27:47,940 --> 00:27:51,029

[Music]

370

the middle of the day is not the best

371
00:28:15,039 --> 00:28:20,320
time for fishing

372
00:28:17,600 --> 00:28:22,240
being out here is the point

373
00:28:20,320 --> 00:28:26,200
fishing's

374
00:28:22,240 --> 00:28:26,200
just an excuse i suspect

375
00:28:28,360 --> 00:28:44,679
[Music]

376
00:28:41,679 --> 00:28:44,679
body

377
00:28:45,070 --> 00:28:50,619
[Music]

378
00:28:50,960 --> 00:28:53,960

419
00:31:07,440 --> 00:31:12,720
[Music]

420
00:31:10,559 --> 00:31:15,120
i'm almost four months pregnant

421
00:31:12,720 --> 00:31:17,039
yes that's what i would have guessed

422
00:31:15,120 --> 00:31:18,559
it was a mistake

423
00:31:17,039 --> 00:31:21,519
when the baby arrives she won't see it

424
00:31:18,559 --> 00:31:21,519
as a mistake anymore

425
00:31:21,600 --> 00:31:25,840
i'd like to believe you then do so mrs

426
00:31:23,919 --> 00:31:28,399
singleton

427
00:31:25,840 --> 00:31:30,880
well i'd say we're looking at the third

428
00:31:28,399 --> 00:31:33,840
week of december

429
00:31:30,880 --> 00:31:33,840
a christmas baby

430
00:31:42,000 --> 00:31:45,200
while we're in town i need to mail a

431
00:31:43,519 --> 00:31:47,039
letter

432
00:31:45,200 --> 00:31:49,039
everything go all right everything's

433
00:31:47,039 --> 00:31:50,720
right on schedule did he say when the

434
00:31:49,039 --> 00:31:55,240
baby was coming

435
00:31:50,720 --> 00:31:55,240
december i could've told you that before

436
00:32:06,480 --> 00:32:09,200
people will know

437
00:32:07,840 --> 00:32:11,360
people will know the babies early what

438
00:32:09,200 --> 00:32:13,120
will they think then

439
00:32:11,360 --> 00:32:14,960
i don't care what people think

440
00:32:13,120 --> 00:32:18,399
i don't see how you could be immune

441
00:32:14,960 --> 00:32:18,399
people judge people gossip

442
00:32:19,440 --> 00:32:22,320
they won't say a thing

443
00:32:21,150 --> 00:32:24,559
[Music]

444
00:32:22,320 --> 00:32:26,799
why is that

445
00:32:24,559 --> 00:32:26,799
well

446
00:32:26,880 --> 00:32:29,840
they want the best for us

447
00:33:12,559 --> 00:33:15,200
smells good

448
00:33:18,480 --> 00:33:22,360
a fiesta omelette

449
00:33:28,080 --> 00:33:31,080
so

450
00:33:44,399 --> 00:33:47,760
maybe i put too many jalapeno peppers in

451
00:33:46,320 --> 00:33:48,880
it

452
00:33:47,760 --> 00:33:49,919
no it's

453
00:33:48,880 --> 00:33:51,519
real good

454
00:33:49,919 --> 00:33:52,880
real good cooker

455
00:33:51,519 --> 00:33:55,679
the cheese i forgot the cheese it might

456
00:33:52,880 --> 00:33:55,679
mellow it hold on

457
00:33:59,120 --> 00:34:03,200
what is that

458
00:34:01,200 --> 00:34:04,880
that'll be hank what's that what's that

459
00:34:03,200 --> 00:34:07,840
sound

460
00:34:04,880 --> 00:34:07,840
it's the claw

461
00:34:11,360 --> 00:34:14,939
[Music]

462
00:34:17,599 --> 00:34:22,480
what are you doing with that thing

463
00:34:19,440 --> 00:34:24,320
thanks you said you like to swim

464
00:34:22,480 --> 00:34:27,359
dig your holes summertimes you and the

465
00:34:24,320 --> 00:34:27,359
children can go swimming

466
00:34:29,119 --> 00:34:32,119
children

467
00:34:43,359 --> 00:34:46,399
hi

468
00:34:45,440 --> 00:34:48,480
hey

469
00:34:46,399 --> 00:34:50,480
i hope you don't mind us coming along

470
00:34:48,480 --> 00:34:52,639
boys couldn't miss it hey

471
00:34:50,480 --> 00:34:53,839
not every day somebody digs a hole

472
00:34:52,639 --> 00:34:56,240
that one that flew by there that's

473
00:34:53,839 --> 00:34:57,119
chester and this is hank junior hello

474
00:34:56,240 --> 00:35:01,880
hey

475
00:34:57,119 --> 00:35:01,880
hi nice to meet you nice to meet you

476
00:35:03,359 --> 00:35:08,160
do you like my hair

477
00:35:05,599 --> 00:35:10,800
you look lovely she asked me to do it up

478
00:35:08,160 --> 00:35:13,599
just like yours

479
00:35:10,800 --> 00:35:14,800
hank honey keep a watch on your brother

480
00:35:13,599 --> 00:35:17,800
make sure he doesn't get under that

481
00:35:14,800 --> 00:35:17,800
thing

482
00:35:26,800 --> 00:35:32,079
so have you chosen a name for your baby

483
00:35:30,480 --> 00:35:33,760
well you told me uncle ray and aunt livy

484
00:35:32,079 --> 00:35:36,160
were having a baby

485
00:35:33,760 --> 00:35:36,160
aren't you

486
00:35:37,119 --> 00:35:41,920
i i haven't thought of a name yet

487
00:35:40,079 --> 00:35:45,440
i like the name patricia

488
00:35:41,920 --> 00:35:47,680
my parents had to go and name you ruth

489
00:35:45,440 --> 00:35:49,839
ruth is an old biblical name it's a very

490
00:35:47,680 --> 00:35:54,760
beautiful one in my opinion

491
00:35:49,839 --> 00:35:54,760
thank you maybe now she'll keep it

492
00:35:59,839 --> 00:36:03,200
uncle ray's at the wheel

493
00:36:04,320 --> 00:36:07,760
martha did you grow up in this house i

494
00:36:06,640 --> 00:36:09,599
did

495
00:36:07,760 --> 00:36:11,119
our grandpa built it

496
00:36:09,599 --> 00:36:12,640
and before that he and grandma lived in

497
00:36:11,119 --> 00:36:15,040
a dugout which

498
00:36:12,640 --> 00:36:16,320
is still over there by the south field

499
00:36:15,040 --> 00:36:18,720
right

500
00:36:16,320 --> 00:36:18,720
really

501
00:36:19,200 --> 00:36:23,520
so you you never lived anywhere else

502
00:36:21,280 --> 00:36:23,520
nope

503
00:36:23,839 --> 00:36:30,920
our younger brother danny

504
00:36:27,040 --> 00:36:30,920
was the adventurous one

505
00:36:38,410 --> 00:36:41,570
[Music]

506
00:36:50,000 --> 00:36:54,560
what's in your locket

507
00:36:52,160 --> 00:36:55,599
oh i forgot i was wearing it bruce don't

508
00:36:54,560 --> 00:36:57,119
cry

509
00:36:55,599 --> 00:37:00,119
it's as if your mother didn't teach any

510
00:36:57,119 --> 00:37:00,119
manners

511
00:37:08,079 --> 00:37:11,079
oh

512
00:37:23,839 --> 00:37:30,839
isn't there a manual for that thing

513
00:37:26,480 --> 00:37:30,839
their word you think they'd read it

514
00:37:37,760 --> 00:37:41,680
i didn't ask him to do that to dig his

515
00:37:40,079 --> 00:37:44,400
swimming hole i don't know why he's

516
00:37:41,680 --> 00:37:44,400
going with trouble

517
00:37:45,119 --> 00:37:49,160
he just wants to please you

518
00:37:56,160 --> 00:38:02,079
i may not dance

519
00:37:58,320 --> 00:38:02,079
oh martha will just be glad we're there

520
00:38:03,119 --> 00:38:08,640
she's always been a fool for dancing

521
00:38:05,680 --> 00:38:08,640
slim's her favorite

522
00:38:14,480 --> 00:38:18,560
don't you ever wonder

523
00:38:16,320 --> 00:38:20,960
what else is out there

524
00:38:18,560 --> 00:38:23,520
be on the farm

525
00:38:20,960 --> 00:38:23,520
sometimes

526
00:38:24,000 --> 00:38:30,160
are you curious how other people live

527
00:38:27,359 --> 00:38:32,480
i enjoy a drive but

528
00:38:30,160 --> 00:38:34,160
i like coming back to my place sleeping

529
00:38:32,480 --> 00:38:36,880
on my land

530
00:38:34,160 --> 00:38:36,880
your land

531
00:38:37,119 --> 00:38:42,480
seems every war in human history is

532
00:38:39,280 --> 00:38:42,480
about owning the land

533
00:38:43,280 --> 00:38:46,800
i like the indian view

534
00:38:45,040 --> 00:38:48,400
that we're just temporary guardians on

535
00:38:46,800 --> 00:38:51,200
the land where we live it's not

536
00:38:48,400 --> 00:38:51,200
temporary to me

537
00:38:52,079 --> 00:38:55,520
but your family's owned this land for

538
00:38:53,680 --> 00:38:59,800
less than 100 years

539
00:38:55,520 --> 00:38:59,800
in the span of history that's nothing

540
00:39:00,400 --> 00:39:06,920
the span of a life

541
00:39:03,359 --> 00:39:06,920
it's near everything

542
00:39:10,690 --> 00:39:13,999
[Music]

543
00:39:19,180 --> 00:39:22,760
[Music]

544
00:39:26,880 --> 00:39:29,839
oh

545
00:39:32,960 --> 00:39:36,200
come on

546
00:39:48,850 --> 00:39:52,350
[Music]

547
00:39:54,480 --> 00:40:01,330
you're here

548
00:39:56,490 --> 00:40:01,330
[Music]

549
00:40:05,520 --> 00:40:10,400
happy birthday oh finally it's gonna

550
00:40:07,920 --> 00:40:14,359
party till you come

551
00:40:10,400 --> 00:40:14,359
there's that guy let's go

552
00:40:14,410 --> 00:40:17,560
[Music]

553
00:40:20,210 --> 00:40:27,410
[Music]

554
00:40:26,790 --> 00:40:47,989
[Applause]

555
00:40:27,410 --> 00:40:47,989
[Music]

556
00:40:49,200 --> 00:40:52,710
ray you really ought to dance

557
00:40:51,599 --> 00:41:00,880
i'm fine

558
00:40:52,710 --> 00:41:01,220
[Music]

559
00:41:00,880 --> 00:41:04,430
all right

560
00:41:01,220 --> 00:41:04,430
[Music]

561
00:41:04,480 --> 00:41:07,839
sure yeah all right

562
00:41:07,950 --> 00:41:15,059
[Music]

563
00:41:17,220 --> 00:41:20,300
[Music]

564
00:41:24,880 --> 00:41:29,319
how about a dance with my beautiful

565
00:41:26,319 --> 00:41:29,319
daughter

566
00:41:29,570 --> 00:41:35,210
[Music]

567
00:41:35,359 --> 00:41:38,599
and junior

568
00:41:50,300 --> 00:41:53,459
[Music]

569
00:41:56,240 --> 00:42:12,669
sure

570
00:41:58,360 --> 00:42:12,669
[Music]

571
00:42:19,070 --> 00:42:26,449
[Music]

572
00:42:28,890 --> 00:42:29,400
[Music]

573
00:42:29,359 --> 00:42:29,400
thank oh

574
00:42:44,290 --> 00:42:48,500
[Music]

575
00:42:52,430 --> 00:42:59,030
[Music]

576
00:42:53,880 --> 00:42:59,030
[Applause]

577
00:43:03,280 --> 00:43:07,200
we're here tonight to celebrate a

578
00:43:05,359 --> 00:43:10,160
birthday

579
00:43:07,200 --> 00:43:13,599
i've known this fine young lady since

580
00:43:10,160 --> 00:43:15,280
since i was slim

581
00:43:13,599 --> 00:43:17,920

582
00:43:15,280 --> 00:43:19,760

we know you're a fine mother you bet and

585
00:43:22,000 --> 00:43:27,839
you're a first class friend

586
00:43:25,040 --> 00:43:27,839
happy birthday

587
00:43:28,570 --> 00:43:36,309
[Applause]

588
00:43:30,660 --> 00:43:36,309
[Music]

589
00:43:36,960 --> 00:43:40,280
thank you

590
00:43:41,680 --> 00:43:44,760
i know

591
00:43:50,800 --> 00:43:54,839
for you as well

592
00:43:58,100 --> 00:44:01,250
[Music]

593
00:44:04,430 --> 00:44:07,310
[Music]

594
00:44:06,000 --> 00:44:09,839
i say i

595
00:44:07,310 --> 00:44:11,119
[Music]

596
00:44:09,839 --> 00:44:15,560
yes sir

597
00:44:11,119 --> 00:44:15,560
she's my brown eyed baby

598
00:44:23,119 --> 00:44:25,280
hi

599
00:44:33,680 --> 00:44:38,160
i brought drinks thank you thank you

600
00:44:36,960 --> 00:44:41,520
that's it

601
00:44:38,160 --> 00:44:43,680
we skipped off from our overseer

602
00:44:41,520 --> 00:44:46,319
oh but we shouldn't tell you that

603
00:44:43,680 --> 00:44:48,720
this is your land my husband

604
00:44:46,319 --> 00:44:51,360
he's handsome who

605
00:44:48,720 --> 00:44:56,020
is your husband

606
00:44:51,360 --> 00:44:56,020
[Laughter]

607
00:44:56,800 --> 00:45:01,599
so um where were you

608
00:45:00,000 --> 00:45:04,079
before the war

609
00:45:01,599 --> 00:45:06,319
california

610
00:45:04,079 --> 00:45:09,200
born and raised

611
00:45:06,319 --> 00:45:11,359
we were both at usc

612
00:45:09,200 --> 00:45:12,960
what were your majors

613
00:45:11,359 --> 00:45:14,319
mine was english

614
00:45:12,960 --> 00:45:15,119
english

615
00:45:14,319 --> 00:45:16,839
i

616
00:45:15,119 --> 00:45:20,079
hope to teach literature

617
00:45:16,839 --> 00:45:22,160
someday rose is a long-term planner

618
00:45:20,079 --> 00:45:25,119
everything in her life she plans 10

619
00:45:22,160 --> 00:45:25,119
years in advance

620
00:45:25,440 --> 00:45:30,000
you didn't plan on this did you rose

621
00:45:28,400 --> 00:45:33,720
picking potatoes

622
00:45:30,000 --> 00:45:33,720
at least i had plans

623
00:45:34,240 --> 00:45:38,160
i hadn't declared my major yet too many

624
00:45:36,560 --> 00:45:40,960
things interested me

625
00:45:38,160 --> 00:45:40,960
too many boys

626
00:45:41,440 --> 00:45:46,079
i was in graduate school in denver

627
00:45:43,760 --> 00:45:47,280
studying archaeology

628
00:45:46,079 --> 00:45:48,960
someday

629
00:45:47,280 --> 00:45:51,119
i wanted to go to turkey to see the lost

630
00:45:48,960 --> 00:45:53,440
cities of ephesus and troy

631
00:45:51,119 --> 00:45:53,440
really

632
00:45:57,200 --> 00:46:01,760
why did you leave your studies

633
00:45:59,119 --> 00:46:02,800
my mother got sick and

634
00:46:01,760 --> 00:46:05,119
abby

635
00:46:02,800 --> 00:46:06,960
my sister was already married so

636
00:46:05,119 --> 00:46:09,280
i left school to be with her until she

637
00:46:06,960 --> 00:46:09,280
died

638
00:46:09,599 --> 00:46:12,720
i'm sorry

639
00:46:11,520 --> 00:46:15,040
and then

640
00:46:12,720 --> 00:46:18,240
before i knew it i was

641
00:46:15,040 --> 00:46:21,359
swept off my feet and now i'm here

642
00:46:18,240 --> 00:46:23,599
that's so romantic

643
00:46:21,359 --> 00:46:25,680
when are you expecting

644
00:46:23,599 --> 00:46:27,119
flory

645
00:46:25,680 --> 00:46:29,440
i'm sorry

646
00:46:27,119 --> 00:46:31,760
no i didn't realize it showed forgive us

647
00:46:29,440 --> 00:46:34,480
for prying

648
00:46:31,760 --> 00:46:36,880
do you need maternity clothes

649
00:46:34,480 --> 00:46:39,200
i hadn't really thought about it yet

650
00:46:36,880 --> 00:46:41,119
well all father's a tailor we all sew in

651
00:46:39,200 --> 00:46:43,280
the family choose the fabric and we'll

652
00:46:41,119 --> 00:46:45,760
make you something

653
00:46:43,280 --> 00:46:45,760
thank you

654
00:46:46,400 --> 00:46:50,319
thank you so much thank you you're

655
00:46:48,000 --> 00:46:53,880
welcome it's a pleasure

656
00:46:50,319 --> 00:46:53,880
thank you bye

657
00:47:04,319 --> 00:47:08,720
the wind's turned

658
00:47:05,839 --> 00:47:08,720
coming out of the north

659
00:47:09,359 --> 00:47:13,119
i made friends with two girls from the

660
00:47:10,800 --> 00:47:14,400
work crew today they study butterflies

661
00:47:13,119 --> 00:47:16,480
and i was thinking i could take them for

662
00:47:14,400 --> 00:47:17,680
a drive in the mountains sometime

663
00:47:16,480 --> 00:47:20,800
japanese

664
00:47:17,680 --> 00:47:20,800
well they're american

665
00:47:21,200 --> 00:47:25,319
those americans who look japanese

666
00:47:34,160 --> 00:47:39,000
you blame them for pearl harbor for

667
00:47:36,000 --> 00:47:39,000
daniel

668
00:47:39,359 --> 00:47:42,640
not as stupid as you think

669
00:47:41,280 --> 00:47:44,400
i know they're not the same people who

670
00:47:42,640 --> 00:47:45,839
bomb pearl harbor

671
00:47:44,400 --> 00:47:47,520
they kept our crops going the past

672
00:47:45,839 --> 00:47:49,359
couple of years i never said you were

673
00:47:47,520 --> 00:47:50,640
stupid and i never said i disliked them

674
00:47:49,359 --> 00:47:52,640
i just said they

675
00:47:50,640 --> 00:47:54,880
were japanese that's all and you keep

676
00:47:52,640 --> 00:47:56,800
your distance

677
00:47:54,880 --> 00:47:58,160
i got a lot to do around here

678
00:47:56,800 --> 00:48:00,079
i got to keep this place going pretty

679
00:47:58,160 --> 00:48:02,000
much on my own i don't go into the

680
00:48:00,079 --> 00:48:05,160
fields to

681
00:48:02,000 --> 00:48:05,160
to socialize

682
00:48:07,760 --> 00:48:12,319
rose and florey both went to usc

683
00:48:10,559 --> 00:48:14,000
i can't tell you how good it is to talk

684
00:48:12,319 --> 00:48:17,000
about something other than crops and the

685
00:48:14,000 --> 00:48:17,000
weather

686
00:48:20,640 --> 00:48:25,589
i bet

687
00:48:22,530 --> 00:48:25,589
[Music]

688
00:48:26,319 --> 00:48:30,640
thank you lord for your gifts

689
00:48:28,480 --> 00:48:33,040
and may we be ever mindful of your love

690
00:48:30,640 --> 00:48:34,880
amen

691
00:48:33,040 --> 00:48:37,280
past the taters

692
00:48:34,880 --> 00:48:40,720
i'll put your napkin on your lap first

693
00:48:37,280 --> 00:48:40,720
would you care for a roll living

694
00:48:41,599 --> 00:48:46,280
thanks

695
00:48:43,280 --> 00:48:46,280
ray

696
00:48:51,520 --> 00:48:55,520
well i'm considering beans in the north

697
00:48:53,200 --> 00:48:55,520
field

698
00:48:55,760 --> 00:49:01,680
all right

699
00:48:57,760 --> 00:49:01,680
price of beans can't go anywhere but up

700
00:49:06,319 --> 00:49:09,119
well what do you think

701
00:49:10,480 --> 00:49:16,440
i've been thinking about

702
00:49:13,119 --> 00:49:16,440
about troy

703
00:49:16,559 --> 00:49:20,960
troy who

704
00:49:18,800 --> 00:49:23,040
the city of the lost one over there in

705
00:49:20,960 --> 00:49:25,440
turkey

706
00:49:23,040 --> 00:49:25,440
turkey

707
00:49:27,599 --> 00:49:32,079
uh homer wrote about it in the iliad no

708
00:49:30,319 --> 00:49:32,960
one knew if there really had been such a

709
00:49:32,079 --> 00:49:35,920
city

710
00:49:32,960 --> 00:49:39,280
or if troy was merely a myth until

711
00:49:35,920 --> 00:49:39,280
an archaeologist found it

712
00:49:41,520 --> 00:49:44,720
how do you

713
00:49:42,640 --> 00:49:46,240
lose a city

714
00:49:44,720 --> 00:49:49,119
under the sand

715
00:49:46,240 --> 00:49:50,400
they uh they had to excavate it oh i'll

716
00:49:49,119 --> 00:49:53,280
be

717
00:49:50,400 --> 00:49:56,680
we could've we could've dug it up ray

718
00:49:53,280 --> 00:49:56,680
with the claw

719
00:50:02,079 --> 00:50:04,160
so

720
00:50:02,880 --> 00:50:07,680
ray

721
00:50:04,160 --> 00:50:07,680
are you gonna plant some beans this year

722
00:50:07,839 --> 00:50:11,559
if you think we ought to

723
00:50:17,119 --> 00:50:20,119
so

724
00:50:20,460 --> 00:50:23,699
[Music]

725
00:50:25,860 --> 00:50:31,609
[Music]

726
00:50:33,760 --> 00:50:38,359
good night

727
00:50:35,119 --> 00:50:38,359
good night

728
00:50:40,160 --> 00:50:43,160
oh

729
00:50:59,120 --> 00:51:25,320
[Music]

730
00:51:29,860 --> 00:51:33,099
[Applause]

731
00:51:35,280 --> 00:51:39,760
franklin it's okay

732
00:51:37,200 --> 00:51:41,359
is everything all right oh no what

733
00:51:39,760 --> 00:51:43,760
what's happened is it father no he's

734
00:51:41,359 --> 00:51:46,880
fine it's kent they shipped him out he

735
00:51:43,760 --> 00:51:50,200
left last week oh hon i'm so sorry i'm

736
00:51:46,880 --> 00:51:50,200
so sorry

737
00:51:50,319 --> 00:51:54,640
it's worse than i ever imagined

738
00:51:52,720 --> 00:51:56,160
you're out in the middle of nowhere

739
00:51:54,640 --> 00:51:57,680
there are more people around than you'd

740
00:51:56,160 --> 00:52:00,480
think we haven't heard from you in

741
00:51:57,680 --> 00:52:03,599
almost a month i know i've just been

742
00:52:00,480 --> 00:52:07,040
getting adjusted i guess

743
00:52:03,599 --> 00:52:07,040
that skirt is too small for you

744
00:52:10,559 --> 00:52:14,240
come inside come inside

745
00:52:15,680 --> 00:52:20,079
i want you to move back to denver and

746
00:52:17,359 --> 00:52:20,079
stay with me

747
00:52:20,640 --> 00:52:24,640
abby how could i do that

748
00:52:22,559 --> 00:52:27,920
how could you not you're not having your

749
00:52:24,640 --> 00:52:27,920
baby on a beet farm

750
00:52:30,880 --> 00:52:34,480
i need your help

751
00:52:32,640 --> 00:52:36,559
with kent overseas for who knows how

752
00:52:34,480 --> 00:52:39,040
long i'll go mad in that house alone

753
00:52:36,559 --> 00:52:41,040
you've no idea how lonely it is

754
00:52:39,040 --> 00:52:42,559
i used to feel that way when i was

755
00:52:41,040 --> 00:52:44,400
caring for mother

756
00:52:42,559 --> 00:52:46,480
i would just sit there waiting for those

757
00:52:44,400 --> 00:52:48,559
minutes a day she was awake it wasn't

758
00:52:46,480 --> 00:52:50,720
fair for daddy to drop the entire burden

759
00:52:48,559 --> 00:52:53,440
of caring for mother on you

760
00:52:50,720 --> 00:52:55,760
i had my hands full with kent

761
00:52:53,440 --> 00:53:00,480
but we'd have such a good time now liv

762
00:52:55,760 --> 00:53:01,520
just the two of us until kent got home

763
00:53:00,480 --> 00:53:02,880
ray

764
00:53:01,520 --> 00:53:05,760
look who's here

765
00:53:02,880 --> 00:53:08,000
this is my sister abby

766
00:53:05,760 --> 00:53:11,000
nice to meet you hello

767
00:53:08,000 --> 00:53:11,000
welcome

768
00:53:15,440 --> 00:53:18,440
uh

769
00:53:29,839 --> 00:53:33,090
rain all anyone talks about is the

770
00:53:32,480 --> 00:53:37,530
weather

771
00:53:33,090 --> 00:53:37,530
[Laughter]

772
00:53:37,839 --> 00:53:41,119
libby when are you coming home

773
00:53:41,440 --> 00:53:48,000
what about the baby i'll babysit

774
00:53:45,359 --> 00:53:50,720
you can go back to school why not

775
00:53:48,000 --> 00:53:54,160
father's satisfied you're married

776
00:53:50,720 --> 00:53:55,599
there'll be no baby born out of wedlock

777
00:53:54,160 --> 00:53:57,119
there's more than one way to work the

778
00:53:55,599 --> 00:53:58,880
rumor mill livy

779
00:53:57,119 --> 00:54:01,200
a few well-chosen words among the

780
00:53:58,880 --> 00:54:03,359
gossips at church

781
00:54:01,200 --> 00:54:05,599
what do you mean the denver ladies will

782
00:54:03,359 --> 00:54:08,720
be tripping over themselves to offer you

783
00:54:05,599 --> 00:54:11,359
sympathy who knew he drank or had that

784
00:54:08,720 --> 00:54:15,119
temper can you imagine raising a child

785
00:54:11,359 --> 00:54:16,640
in a home like that no that's not ray so

786
00:54:15,119 --> 00:54:18,880
ray no

787
00:54:16,640 --> 00:54:20,400
race the most gentle man i've ever met

788
00:54:18,880 --> 00:54:24,680
this has nothing to do with him it's

789
00:54:20,400 --> 00:54:24,680
about doing what's best for you

790
00:54:29,040 --> 00:54:33,920
any word from edward

791
00:54:31,680 --> 00:54:33,920
no

792
00:54:35,040 --> 00:54:39,280
livy you had so many plans

793
00:54:37,760 --> 00:54:41,040
no one deserves to stay married to

794
00:54:39,280 --> 00:54:44,160
someone they don't love

795
00:54:41,040 --> 00:54:44,160
especially not you

796
00:54:49,280 --> 00:54:53,839
give my love to father i will

797
00:54:59,920 --> 00:55:04,880
does he ever ask about me

798
00:55:01,839 --> 00:55:04,880
yes often

799
00:55:04,960 --> 00:55:08,160
you're a terrible liar

800
00:55:09,920 --> 00:55:13,200
will you mail this letter for me

801
00:55:14,480 --> 00:55:16,799
sure

802
00:55:17,119 --> 00:55:20,119
bye

803
00:55:20,160 --> 00:55:25,079
love you

804
00:55:22,079 --> 00:55:25,079
hmm

805
00:55:28,100 --> 00:55:36,020
[Music]

806
00:55:45,040 --> 00:55:48,760
fingers too

807
00:55:51,359 --> 00:55:53,520
hi

808
00:55:54,000 --> 00:55:56,160
hi

809
00:55:57,839 --> 00:56:00,640
you were singing

810
00:56:00,720 --> 00:56:07,839
what was it

811
00:56:03,839 --> 00:56:09,280
it's just a song daddy'd sing to us kids

812
00:56:07,839 --> 00:56:11,920
trying to remember it so i could sing it

813
00:56:09,280 --> 00:56:11,920
to the baby

814
00:56:15,440 --> 00:56:18,799
my sister wants me to go back to denver

815
00:56:17,520 --> 00:56:21,520
to deliver

816
00:56:18,799 --> 00:56:21,520
in the hospital

817
00:56:25,839 --> 00:56:31,480
where is she

818
00:56:27,920 --> 00:56:31,480
she left already

819
00:56:34,079 --> 00:56:37,559
i'll make some lunch

820
00:56:40,960 --> 00:56:51,989
[Music]

821
00:56:53,200 --> 00:56:56,079
swallowtail

822
00:56:56,720 --> 00:57:01,839
probably a western tiger those spots the

823
00:56:59,599 --> 00:57:04,480
spots on the wings are beautiful

824
00:57:01,839 --> 00:57:06,720
false eyes

825
00:57:04,480 --> 00:57:09,119
how flory did you get it

826
00:57:06,720 --> 00:57:09,119
got it

827
00:57:09,440 --> 00:57:12,880
all sides confused its enemy mods have

828
00:57:11,839 --> 00:57:14,000
them too

829
00:57:12,880 --> 00:57:15,280
how can you tell them off from a

830
00:57:14,000 --> 00:57:17,119
butterfly

831
00:57:15,280 --> 00:57:19,280
moths rest with their wings spread

832
00:57:17,119 --> 00:57:20,960
butterflies through their wings together

833
00:57:19,280 --> 00:57:23,440
and more often moths have protective

834
00:57:20,960 --> 00:57:26,079
coloring so they blend in butterflies

835
00:57:23,440 --> 00:57:29,920
are bold

836
00:57:26,079 --> 00:57:32,319
look at some of the species we found see

837
00:57:29,920 --> 00:57:32,319
colors

838
00:57:34,240 --> 00:57:36,720
what is this

839
00:57:37,599 --> 00:57:40,430
that was strictly for our observations

840
00:57:39,280 --> 00:57:42,160
florida fussing

841
00:57:40,430 --> 00:57:43,680
[Music]

842
00:57:42,160 --> 00:57:46,160
perfect

843
00:57:43,680 --> 00:57:46,160
glory

844
00:57:47,760 --> 00:57:51,190
look

845
00:57:48,720 --> 00:58:06,240
look

846
00:57:51,190 --> 00:58:07,730
[Music]

847
00:58:06,240 --> 00:58:09,839
this is

848
00:58:07,730 --> 00:58:11,920
[Laughter]

849
00:58:09,839 --> 00:58:14,480
what's your husband's favorite color

850
00:58:11,920 --> 00:58:14,480
i don't know

851
00:58:14,640 --> 00:58:17,839
what's yours

852
00:58:16,559 --> 00:58:20,240
blue and red

853
00:58:17,839 --> 00:58:23,640
like the false eyes on a swallow tail

854
00:58:20,240 --> 00:58:23,640
yes exactly

855
00:58:31,760 --> 00:58:35,440
uh

856
00:58:33,920 --> 00:58:38,240
it would be wonderful if you could come

857
00:58:35,440 --> 00:58:41,280
would you please not handle the fabric

858
00:58:38,240 --> 00:58:41,280
i'm going to buy this

859
00:58:41,520 --> 00:58:45,839
are you with these people

860
00:58:43,760 --> 00:58:46,960
yes i am

861
00:58:45,839 --> 00:58:48,720
well if they could get on with their

862
00:58:46,960 --> 00:58:51,720
business the management would appreciate

863
00:58:48,720 --> 00:58:51,720
it

864
00:58:59,920 --> 00:59:03,720
what else do we need here

865
00:59:04,079 --> 00:59:11,119
me how i knew

866
00:59:06,960 --> 00:59:11,119
my true love was true

867
00:59:12,400 --> 00:59:19,240
i of course replied

868
00:59:15,599 --> 00:59:23,440
something here inside

869
00:59:19,240 --> 00:59:23,440
cannot be denied

870
00:59:23,680 --> 00:59:28,760
germans

871
00:59:25,040 --> 00:59:28,760
those are german pows

872
00:59:31,770 --> 00:59:36,440
[Music]

873
00:59:39,119 --> 01:00:06,860
so

874
00:59:40,320 --> 01:00:06,860
[Music]

875
01:00:08,559 --> 01:00:12,160
we'll do a fitting soon yes

876
01:00:12,240 --> 01:00:15,839
bye lovely thank you

877
01:00:18,290 --> 01:00:21,389
[Music]

878
01:00:26,800 --> 01:00:29,909
[Music]

879
01:00:41,570 --> 01:00:45,010
[Music]

880
01:00:54,240 --> 01:00:57,240
ah

881
01:00:58,640 --> 01:01:01,640
uh

882
01:01:34,319 --> 01:01:37,319
uh

883
01:01:53,200 --> 01:01:56,680
oh my god

884
01:02:00,360 --> 01:02:08,139
[Music]

885
01:02:11,599 --> 01:02:14,599
um

886
01:02:20,180 --> 01:02:28,030
[Music]

887
01:02:30,160 --> 01:02:35,280
just getting worried sorry i'm late i

888
01:02:32,960 --> 01:02:36,720
found the dugout the dugout that martha

889
01:02:35,280 --> 01:02:39,200
was talking about

890
01:02:36,720 --> 01:02:40,799
look arrowheads

891
01:02:39,200 --> 01:02:42,799
libby i don't mean to disappoint you but

892
01:02:40,799 --> 01:02:44,880
my granddaddy owned a gun

893
01:02:42,799 --> 01:02:46,720
i'm sure he didn't use a bow and arrow

894
01:02:44,880 --> 01:02:48,160
no i know that but he or your

895
01:02:46,720 --> 01:02:49,359
grandmother were interested enough to

896
01:02:48,160 --> 01:02:51,440
collect them

897
01:02:49,359 --> 01:02:52,799
look a whole jar of flints

898
01:02:51,440 --> 01:02:55,050
someone in your family was a budding

899
01:02:52,799 --> 01:02:58,219
archaeologist

900
01:02:55,050 --> 01:02:58,219
[Music]

901
01:03:03,119 --> 01:03:06,079
i saw which father could have done this

902
01:03:04,640 --> 01:03:08,000
himself

903
01:03:06,079 --> 01:03:10,880
he's the expert

904
01:03:08,000 --> 01:03:13,440
but he hasn't been well since the move

905
01:03:10,880 --> 01:03:14,839
they took his work

906
01:03:13,440 --> 01:03:18,000
and our

907
01:03:14,839 --> 01:03:21,520
house still he says

908
01:03:18,000 --> 01:03:25,760
we must prove our loyalty

909
01:03:21,520 --> 01:03:28,640
we must show them we are good americans

910
01:03:25,760 --> 01:03:31,119
he buys war bonds sorry

911
01:03:28,640 --> 01:03:33,839
mother's no better livi

912
01:03:31,119 --> 01:03:35,920
she made us clean the house stop

913
01:03:33,839 --> 01:03:36,880
we had to sell the house for half its

914
01:03:35,920 --> 01:03:40,079
worth

915
01:03:36,880 --> 01:03:42,880
yet my mother insisted we clean it for

916
01:03:40,079 --> 01:03:42,880
the new owners

917
01:03:43,280 --> 01:03:47,599
we even waxed the floors

918
01:03:46,160 --> 01:03:49,599
i still don't understand why you're so

919
01:03:47,599 --> 01:03:51,760
angry about that of course we wanted to

920
01:03:49,599 --> 01:03:54,319
present a clean house it was stolen from

921
01:03:51,760 --> 01:03:54,319
us rose

922
01:03:56,720 --> 01:04:00,480
you know why there are so few young men

923
01:03:58,400 --> 01:04:02,319
at camp amate

924
01:04:00,480 --> 01:04:04,960
why

925
01:04:02,319 --> 01:04:07,520
they were drafted

926
01:04:04,960 --> 01:04:10,720
the 442nd regiment

927
01:04:07,520 --> 01:04:13,440
fighting in france enough

928
01:04:10,720 --> 01:04:18,680
and rose is like our parents

929
01:04:13,440 --> 01:04:18,680
always proper always good

930
01:04:29,760 --> 01:04:37,720
thank you libby thank you so much

931
01:04:33,839 --> 01:04:37,720
thank you you're welcome

932
01:04:42,079 --> 01:04:44,480
livi

933
01:04:44,799 --> 01:04:48,720
i've met someone

934
01:04:46,799 --> 01:04:51,200
lawrence

935
01:04:48,720 --> 01:04:54,079
we met on one of the farms

936
01:04:51,200 --> 01:04:55,200
he was guarding the german pows working

937
01:04:54,079 --> 01:04:57,599
there

938
01:04:55,200 --> 01:04:59,599
he gave me this

939
01:04:57,599 --> 01:05:02,799
oh

940
01:04:59,599 --> 01:05:02,799
it belonged to his mother

941
01:05:02,960 --> 01:05:09,039
you must be very special to him

942
01:05:06,400 --> 01:05:11,280
he tells me i am florian we have to get

943
01:05:09,039 --> 01:05:11,280
back

944
01:05:12,720 --> 01:05:15,760
rose is just jealous

945
01:05:14,559 --> 01:05:18,559
um

946
01:05:15,760 --> 01:05:21,200
but i want you to meet him

947
01:05:18,559 --> 01:05:22,480
will you of course i will

948
01:05:21,200 --> 01:05:25,359
good

949
01:05:22,480 --> 01:05:27,119
thank you what is his name

950
01:05:25,359 --> 01:05:30,240
walter

951
01:05:27,119 --> 01:05:30,240
bye livy bye

952
01:05:30,720 --> 01:05:37,359
bye bye lady

953
01:05:33,599 --> 01:05:37,359
thank you bye why on earth

954
01:05:51,920 --> 01:05:55,680
no

955
01:05:52,720 --> 01:05:57,280
no what what what's wrong

956
01:05:55,680 --> 01:05:59,520
what are you doing she's cleaning out

957
01:05:57,280 --> 01:06:03,160
the shed where is the burlap bag what

958
01:05:59,520 --> 01:06:03,160
did you do with it

959
01:06:06,720 --> 01:06:09,720
heavy

960
01:06:32,079 --> 01:06:35,520
it was near the bottom of the pile

961
01:06:39,359 --> 01:06:42,920
hadn't caught fire

962
01:06:47,599 --> 01:06:51,680
libby this is a working farm

963
01:06:50,240 --> 01:06:54,079
if something doesn't have a use i throw

964
01:06:51,680 --> 01:06:54,079
it out

965
01:06:55,200 --> 01:07:00,160
i thought it was trash

966
01:06:57,440 --> 01:07:02,720
it's not trash it's history it's your

967
01:07:00,160 --> 01:07:02,720
history

968
01:07:05,680 --> 01:07:08,559
i'd do anyth

969
01:07:10,640 --> 01:07:16,240
do anything to make you happy

970
01:07:14,480 --> 01:07:19,240
i know

971
01:07:16,240 --> 01:07:24,639
i know that

972
01:07:19,240 --> 01:07:24,639
[Music]

973
01:07:28,319 --> 01:07:32,799
dear libby if you like junk you'll like

974
01:07:30,400 --> 01:07:35,799
the cellar be careful it's dusty down

975
01:07:32,799 --> 01:07:35,799
there

976
01:07:45,050 --> 01:07:48,209
[Music]

977
01:07:51,420 --> 01:08:00,719
[Music]

978
01:08:02,000 --> 01:08:05,000
so

979
01:08:13,840 --> 01:08:17,149
[Music]

980
01:08:15,359 --> 01:08:24,969
so

981
01:08:17,149 --> 01:08:24,969
[Music]

982
01:08:30,450 --> 01:08:43,189
[Music]

983
01:08:45,970 --> 01:08:52,669
[Music]

984
01:08:54,750 --> 01:08:57,869
[Music]

985
01:09:01,839 --> 01:09:05,120
higher

986
01:09:03,520 --> 01:09:06,719
wait

987
01:09:05,120 --> 01:09:08,880
i'm not sure why we're putting an old

988
01:09:06,719 --> 01:09:10,480
aux joke inside the house

989
01:09:08,880 --> 01:09:12,080
it was probably that very yolk your

990
01:09:10,480 --> 01:09:16,630
grandfather used to first break this

991
01:09:12,080 --> 01:09:20,130
land oh well it's about to break my back

992
01:09:16,630 --> 01:09:20,130
[Music]

993
01:09:21,600 --> 01:09:26,239
i want to show you the family history

994
01:09:23,199 --> 01:09:26,239
that means the most to me

995
01:09:32,960 --> 01:09:36,640
and let him talk me into a deal

996
01:09:38,319 --> 01:09:41,359
if i'd stay behind

997
01:09:41,520 --> 01:09:45,960
and work the farm he'd join the navy

998
01:09:51,920 --> 01:09:55,359
landlocked his whole growing up

999
01:09:55,600 --> 01:09:59,880
he was always dreaming of the ocean

1000
01:10:05,520 --> 01:10:11,880
i was the oldest

1001
01:10:08,400 --> 01:10:11,880
i should have gone

1002
01:10:26,400 --> 01:10:30,719
remember your phone is ring ring red

1003
01:10:29,280 --> 01:10:33,600
come on daddy let's get to wilson

1004
01:10:30,719 --> 01:10:33,600
alright let's go

1005
01:10:34,000 --> 01:10:39,280
here only ring that's miss paulson ring

1006
01:10:36,159 --> 01:10:43,960
ring is the mcgregor's ring ring ring

1007
01:10:39,280 --> 01:10:43,960
that's your signal ring ring ring

1008
01:10:47,679 --> 01:10:54,280
hello we're talking about the telephone

1009
01:10:50,960 --> 01:10:54,280
hey everybody

1010
01:10:58,890 --> 01:11:02,060
[Music]

1011
01:11:05,280 --> 01:11:08,280
so

1012
01:11:28,090 --> 01:11:31,040
[Music]

1013
01:11:29,440 --> 01:11:35,239
you want to come in

1014
01:11:31,040 --> 01:11:35,239
all right come on come on

1015
01:11:55,010 --> 01:12:03,660
[Music]

1016
01:12:07,000 --> 01:12:10,210
[Music]

1017
01:12:14,239 --> 01:12:17,239
so

1018
01:12:39,040 --> 01:12:41,280
hi

1019
01:12:48,960 --> 01:12:51,840
we don't have animals in this house get

1020
01:12:51,120 --> 01:12:56,239
out

1021
01:12:51,840 --> 01:12:56,239
get out get out now get out

1022
01:12:56,960 --> 01:12:59,520
get out

1023
01:13:01,600 --> 01:13:05,840
it's just for tonight it's terribly cold

1024
01:13:03,600 --> 01:13:05,840
out there

1025
01:13:07,440 --> 01:13:11,600
i grew up here

1026
01:13:09,760 --> 01:13:13,280
i ate at this table for all my growing

1027
01:13:11,600 --> 01:13:15,840
up my mama never let a dog in this house

1028
01:13:13,280 --> 01:13:19,239
and i won't either

1029
01:13:15,840 --> 01:13:19,239
he'll freeze

1030
01:13:28,320 --> 01:13:32,040
this came for you today

1031
01:13:36,320 --> 01:13:38,960
livvy dunn

1032
01:13:42,560 --> 01:13:47,159
i'm guessing he didn't know you were

1033
01:13:43,840 --> 01:13:47,159
married huh

1034
01:13:52,480 --> 01:13:56,400
i'm taking the night shift at the beat

1035
01:13:54,080 --> 01:13:58,080
factory

1036
01:13:56,400 --> 01:14:00,400
something i sometimes do this time of

1037
01:13:58,080 --> 01:14:04,360
year

1038
01:14:00,400 --> 01:14:04,360
don't bother waiting up

1039
01:14:19,520 --> 01:14:22,520
so

1040
01:14:31,760 --> 01:14:35,520
i didn't know what you had for breakfast

1041
01:14:33,280 --> 01:14:36,640
because i've never been up that early

1042
01:14:35,520 --> 01:14:38,800
but i made you some eggs and some

1043
01:14:36,640 --> 01:14:40,719
oatmeal there's no need

1044
01:14:38,800 --> 01:14:43,280
just plain eggs there's no onions or

1045
01:14:40,719 --> 01:14:45,120
peppers

1046
01:14:43,280 --> 01:14:47,040
ray wait

1047
01:14:45,120 --> 01:14:48,640
i'm sorry that i let franklin in the

1048
01:14:47,040 --> 01:14:50,400
house i did not realize what an insult

1049
01:14:48,640 --> 01:14:52,000
that would be to you

1050
01:14:50,400 --> 01:14:55,719
with all the other animals in that barn

1051
01:14:52,000 --> 01:14:55,719
that dog would be fine

1052
01:14:56,719 --> 01:15:00,239
i have something i want to tell you

1053
01:15:03,600 --> 01:15:06,640
my first day here

1054
01:15:07,040 --> 01:15:13,679
i looked in your dresser

1055
01:15:10,080 --> 01:15:13,679
i can't even explain why i did it

1056
01:15:14,400 --> 01:15:17,199
i'm sorry

1057
01:15:15,920 --> 01:15:19,280
you could have looked in there any time

1058
01:15:17,199 --> 01:15:21,440
you wanted i got nothing to hide from

1059
01:15:19,280 --> 01:15:21,440
you

1060
01:15:22,480 --> 01:15:25,840
there was a watch i could hear it

1061
01:15:24,560 --> 01:15:27,760
ticking

1062
01:15:25,840 --> 01:15:29,679
i've never seen you carry it it's my

1063
01:15:27,760 --> 01:15:31,280
father's

1064
01:15:29,679 --> 01:15:33,360
sometimes i wind it up when i want to

1065
01:15:31,280 --> 01:15:37,800
remember him

1066
01:15:33,360 --> 01:15:37,800
i remembered how good he was to my mama

1067
01:15:38,320 --> 01:15:41,600
kind of husband i want to be

1068
01:15:43,679 --> 01:15:46,320
first day i

1069
01:15:46,719 --> 01:15:53,400
wound it up for no good reason

1070
01:15:50,000 --> 01:15:53,400
just for luck

1071
01:15:54,159 --> 01:16:00,400
ray i made a mistake

1072
01:15:57,360 --> 01:16:04,600
which mistake would that be huh

1073
01:16:00,400 --> 01:16:04,600
being with him or marrying me

1074
01:16:06,320 --> 01:16:10,440
would it be easier if i left

1075
01:16:43,199 --> 01:16:47,719
is there anything you like about me

1076
01:16:44,719 --> 01:16:47,719
libby

1077
01:17:10,159 --> 01:17:13,159
so

1078
01:17:17,679 --> 01:17:22,480
hi chester

1079
01:17:19,360 --> 01:17:23,440
mama it's aunt lily

1080
01:17:22,480 --> 01:17:24,560
hi

1081
01:17:23,440 --> 01:17:26,080
hi

1082
01:17:24,560 --> 01:17:28,159
oh

1083
01:17:26,080 --> 01:17:30,880
ruth was just talking about you

1084
01:17:28,159 --> 01:17:34,400
here you are it's like you read my mind

1085
01:17:30,880 --> 01:17:36,800
see we don't need a telephone yes we do

1086
01:17:34,400 --> 01:17:38,560
i was thinking of you too ruth i was

1087
01:17:36,800 --> 01:17:40,960
wondering if you wanted to have this

1088
01:17:38,560 --> 01:17:42,719
dress as big as i am now i can't imagine

1089
01:17:40,960 --> 01:17:45,840
ever fitting into it again

1090
01:17:42,719 --> 01:17:45,840
hack comes with it

1091
01:17:45,920 --> 01:17:50,520
did i try it

1092
01:17:47,280 --> 01:17:50,520
don't mom

1093
01:17:58,239 --> 01:18:01,840
did ray tell you i don't know the

1094
01:17:59,760 --> 01:18:03,199
details

1095
01:18:01,840 --> 01:18:05,679
he and hank had to go over to the beat

1096
01:18:03,199 --> 01:18:05,679
factory

1097
01:18:07,760 --> 01:18:11,880
why don't you come in and sit down

1098
01:18:12,080 --> 01:18:17,199
months i've

1099
01:18:13,600 --> 01:18:17,199
i've written the father of this baby

1100
01:18:17,679 --> 01:18:21,600
i thought he died

1101
01:18:19,360 --> 01:18:23,840
i didn't realize no he

1102
01:18:21,600 --> 01:18:27,600
he's a flight instructor we

1103
01:18:23,840 --> 01:18:30,400
never went overseas we met him furlough

1104
01:18:27,600 --> 01:18:33,199
and for months i've

1105
01:18:30,400 --> 01:18:35,760
written him these letters

1106
01:18:33,199 --> 01:18:37,360
i know it was wrong

1107
01:18:35,760 --> 01:18:41,199
for the longest time i didn't hear from

1108
01:18:37,360 --> 01:18:44,719
him as long as i didn't hear from him

1109
01:18:41,199 --> 01:18:44,719
i could imagine that he wanted me

1110
01:18:44,960 --> 01:18:50,880
i finally got a letter

1111
01:18:47,520 --> 01:18:53,360
congratulations livy

1112
01:18:50,880 --> 01:18:55,120
you're a wonderful girl

1113
01:18:53,360 --> 01:18:57,600
and i only hope you find the father of

1114
01:18:55,120 --> 01:19:00,480
this baby because i sincerely doubt that

1115
01:18:57,600 --> 01:19:00,480
i'm responsible

1116
01:19:05,360 --> 01:19:10,880
i know that i've hurt rey

1117
01:19:08,800 --> 01:19:13,679
my sister wants me to go back to denver

1118
01:19:10,880 --> 01:19:13,679
to have the baby

1119
01:19:14,239 --> 01:19:18,520
might be best if i leave after

1120
01:19:15,520 --> 01:19:18,520
thanksgiving

1121
01:19:26,560 --> 01:19:31,120
when ray loves a person it's with his

1122
01:19:28,480 --> 01:19:31,120
whole heart

1123
01:19:32,080 --> 01:19:37,719
losing our baby brother to the war

1124
01:19:34,000 --> 01:19:37,719
nearly killed him

1125
01:19:38,000 --> 01:19:43,080
if you're planning on leaving do it soon

1126
01:19:51,360 --> 01:19:55,360
you know there's one thing i've never

1127
01:19:52,719 --> 01:19:55,360
heard you say

1128
01:19:55,920 --> 01:19:59,520
and that's how you feel about rey

1129
01:20:00,960 --> 01:20:03,960
mama

1130
01:20:16,960 --> 01:20:21,920
all right

1131
01:20:19,360 --> 01:20:21,920
what happened

1132
01:20:22,239 --> 01:20:27,880
calling out

1133
01:20:24,080 --> 01:20:27,880
calling out for your mama

1134
01:20:34,960 --> 01:20:38,159
after a moment died

1135
01:20:39,199 --> 01:20:42,000
so lonely

1136
01:20:43,760 --> 01:20:50,159
i gave my life away just to be held

1137
01:20:47,199 --> 01:20:50,159
by a stranger

1138
01:20:54,400 --> 01:20:58,199
how can i do that

1139
01:21:07,040 --> 01:21:11,320
you are such a good

1140
01:21:18,239 --> 01:21:22,880
thank you

1141
01:21:20,480 --> 01:21:22,880
thank you

1142
01:21:26,080 --> 01:21:30,639
happy thanksgiving oh well it was so

1143
01:21:28,400 --> 01:21:32,239
kind of you to bake as a pie

1144
01:21:30,639 --> 01:21:35,199
happy birthday tells me you're from

1145
01:21:32,239 --> 01:21:39,320
california yes we are yeah livy i've

1146
01:21:35,199 --> 01:21:39,320
never been to kellogg can we talk

1147
01:21:42,000 --> 01:21:46,560
you think you can meet my boyfriend two

1148
01:21:43,920 --> 01:21:49,040
weeks from saturday sure

1149
01:21:46,560 --> 01:21:50,480
perhaps uh we could go for a drive

1150
01:21:49,040 --> 01:21:52,880
just to get away from here for the

1151
01:21:50,480 --> 01:21:54,480
afternoon all right

1152
01:21:52,880 --> 01:21:56,480
what time

1153
01:21:54,480 --> 01:22:00,159
how's noon i'll pick you up here

1154
01:21:56,480 --> 01:22:04,000
oh no um not here olivia uh

1155
01:22:00,159 --> 01:22:06,159
on the road by the grain elevators

1156
01:22:04,000 --> 01:22:09,639
all right

1157
01:22:06,159 --> 01:22:09,639
thank you libby

1158
01:22:12,000 --> 01:22:16,080
i'm grateful for all of you of course

1159
01:22:14,239 --> 01:22:18,639
but i'd also like to pray that this war

1160
01:22:16,080 --> 01:22:20,239
will soon be over

1161
01:22:18,639 --> 01:22:21,440
and i'm thankful for the harvest this

1162
01:22:20,239 --> 01:22:22,840
year

1163
01:22:21,440 --> 01:22:25,280
god's been good to

1164
01:22:22,840 --> 01:22:28,239
us i'm thankful that the baby's coming

1165
01:22:25,280 --> 01:22:30,080
and i'm gonna have a cousin

1166
01:22:28,239 --> 01:22:32,880
i'm grateful that daniel's seat beside

1167
01:22:30,080 --> 01:22:32,880
me isn't empty

1168
01:22:37,679 --> 01:22:43,040
i've

1169
01:22:39,520 --> 01:22:43,040
i've learned more about love

1170
01:22:43,920 --> 01:22:47,920
in my six months with this family

1171
01:22:46,239 --> 01:22:50,639
than i did in the 25 years in my

1172
01:22:47,920 --> 01:22:50,639
father's house

1173
01:22:51,520 --> 01:22:53,840
i have

1174
01:22:53,920 --> 01:23:00,239
i've received love here

1175
01:22:56,719 --> 01:23:00,239
and i have received forbearance

1176
01:23:03,040 --> 01:23:06,679
and i thank you

1177
01:23:06,800 --> 01:23:11,840
i will always remember you

1178
01:23:08,960 --> 01:23:11,840
every one of you

1179
01:23:13,199 --> 01:23:16,080
happy thanksgiving

1180
01:23:16,159 --> 01:23:19,719
let's dig in

1181
01:23:37,840 --> 01:23:40,159
ray

1182
01:23:40,880 --> 01:23:45,120
i uh i'll have to go say goodbye to the

1183
01:23:42,880 --> 01:23:46,840
girls

1184
01:23:45,120 --> 01:23:50,800
well it's all right he can stay if he

1185
01:23:46,840 --> 01:23:50,800
wants it's awful cold

1186
01:23:54,400 --> 01:23:58,639
when you come out here

1187
01:23:57,040 --> 01:24:02,320
i know you saw this as an agreement

1188
01:23:58,639 --> 01:24:05,199
between your daddy and reverend case

1189
01:24:02,320 --> 01:24:05,199
wasn't your idea

1190
01:24:07,440 --> 01:24:11,600
i know you may have your mind set on

1191
01:24:09,120 --> 01:24:13,120
leaving but

1192
01:24:11,600 --> 01:24:16,440
i can't let you go without telling you

1193
01:24:13,120 --> 01:24:16,440
how i feel

1194
01:24:20,480 --> 01:24:23,760
i've fallen in love with you

1195
01:24:26,960 --> 01:24:31,800
and

1196
01:24:28,159 --> 01:24:31,800
i love that baby

1197
01:24:32,239 --> 01:24:35,679
for me you're the best thing that's ever

1198
01:24:33,840 --> 01:24:39,840
happened

1199
01:24:35,679 --> 01:24:41,760
if you're a fine and talented woman

1200
01:24:39,840 --> 01:24:45,600
you're a pitiful cook but

1201
01:24:41,760 --> 01:24:47,600
it doesn't matter i can do the cooking

1202
01:24:45,600 --> 01:24:49,360
i know you had your heart set on going

1203
01:24:47,600 --> 01:24:50,800
to far away places but there's a good

1204
01:24:49,360 --> 01:24:52,560
bit of history right here in otero

1205
01:24:50,800 --> 01:24:55,120
county if you

1206
01:24:52,560 --> 01:24:56,800
like indian canyons and dugouts i'll

1207
01:24:55,120 --> 01:25:00,239
help you find them

1208
01:24:56,800 --> 01:25:00,239
you can dig around all you want

1209
01:25:01,360 --> 01:25:05,719
sound like i'm trying to sell you

1210
01:25:02,719 --> 01:25:05,719
something

1211
01:25:16,159 --> 01:25:19,440
that day

1212
01:25:17,760 --> 01:25:22,600
when the preacher married us i forgot

1213
01:25:19,440 --> 01:25:22,600
the ring

1214
01:25:27,120 --> 01:25:29,920
i have one now

1215
01:25:33,440 --> 01:25:37,760
ray the truth is i don't know if i

1216
01:25:35,040 --> 01:25:37,760
deserve you

1217
01:25:39,280 --> 01:25:42,480
how do you know this could work

1218
01:25:43,120 --> 01:25:45,840
i know because

1219
01:25:47,600 --> 01:25:51,800
someday you're gonna forgive yourself

1220
01:26:08,820 --> 01:26:11,880
[Music]

1221
01:26:20,840 --> 01:26:25,520
so hi

1222
01:26:22,960 --> 01:26:25,860
i'm so sorry i'm late

1223
01:26:25,520 --> 01:26:28,990
hi

1224
01:26:25,860 --> 01:26:28,990
[Music]

1225
01:26:31,280 --> 01:26:34,800
i knew you wouldn't let us down

1226
01:26:34,840 --> 01:26:41,840
um this is walter

1227
01:26:38,159 --> 01:26:41,840
hello so nice to meet you

1228
01:26:42,320 --> 01:26:46,639
um where where did you uh we thought

1229
01:26:44,480 --> 01:26:48,320
we'd go south where we saw the smaller

1230
01:26:46,639 --> 01:26:50,960
tales

1231
01:26:48,320 --> 01:26:53,280
that's almost to new mexico

1232
01:26:50,960 --> 01:26:55,280
walter's on leave and he's got a cousin

1233
01:26:53,280 --> 01:26:56,719
down that way i thought we could drop

1234
01:26:55,280 --> 01:26:58,560
him off

1235
01:26:56,719 --> 01:27:01,280
you'll freeze

1236
01:26:58,560 --> 01:27:01,280
he's fine

1237
01:27:01,920 --> 01:27:06,800
walter's from idaho he's tough

1238
01:27:07,040 --> 01:27:09,280
um

1239
01:27:10,320 --> 01:27:16,040
well uh

1240
01:27:11,760 --> 01:27:16,040
let's get going we have a long drive

1241
01:27:23,679 --> 01:27:27,600
are you insane

1242
01:27:24,810 --> 01:27:30,639
[Music]

1243
01:27:27,600 --> 01:27:30,639
what are you talking about

1244
01:27:31,360 --> 01:27:35,120
what did he promise you

1245
01:27:33,520 --> 01:27:37,040
i don't know what you're talking about

1246
01:27:35,120 --> 01:27:39,520
florey

1247
01:27:37,040 --> 01:27:41,130
i've seen him on the work crew

1248
01:27:39,520 --> 01:27:43,520
did you make his uniform

1249
01:27:41,130 --> 01:27:45,360
[Music]

1250
01:27:43,520 --> 01:27:46,719
if you'd rather not take me and walter

1251
01:27:45,360 --> 01:27:48,639
for a drive

1252
01:27:46,719 --> 01:27:49,920
you should just let us out here libby

1253
01:27:48,639 --> 01:27:52,080
flory

1254
01:27:49,920 --> 01:27:54,000
stop it

1255
01:27:52,080 --> 01:27:56,320
you're just jealous because he loves me

1256
01:27:54,000 --> 01:27:57,760
if he loves you why would he leave

1257
01:27:56,320 --> 01:27:59,440
as soon as this war is over he'll be

1258
01:27:57,760 --> 01:28:01,760
free

1259
01:27:59,440 --> 01:28:04,080
if anyone finds out you helped this man

1260
01:28:01,760 --> 01:28:05,520
you and rose will be accused of treason

1261
01:28:04,080 --> 01:28:06,790
you can go to prison for the rest of

1262
01:28:05,520 --> 01:28:09,280
your lives

1263
01:28:06,790 --> 01:28:11,120
[Music]

1264
01:28:09,280 --> 01:28:12,639
glory thank uniform ties to not only to

1265
01:28:11,120 --> 01:28:15,840
you but to your family

1266
01:28:12,639 --> 01:28:15,840
to your father and your mother

1267
01:28:17,600 --> 01:28:22,800
father and

1268
01:28:19,199 --> 01:28:22,800
mother had nothing to do with it

1269
01:28:22,880 --> 01:28:26,440
nor does rose

1270
01:28:32,400 --> 01:28:35,120
listen to me

1271
01:28:33,840 --> 01:28:36,960
you're gonna go home

1272
01:28:35,120 --> 01:28:38,639
you're gonna burn every scrap of fabric

1273
01:28:36,960 --> 01:28:39,760
left from that uniform

1274
01:28:38,639 --> 01:28:41,840
you're gonna take that bracelet you're

1275
01:28:39,760 --> 01:28:45,040
gonna throw into a field walk away

1276
01:28:41,840 --> 01:28:45,040
florey and never look back

1277
01:28:46,320 --> 01:28:49,840
you're lonely and you're reaching out

1278
01:28:47,840 --> 01:28:51,920
for something to make it better

1279
01:28:49,840 --> 01:28:53,770
you can't do this you'll be paying for

1280
01:28:51,920 --> 01:28:56,849
it the rest of your life

1281
01:28:53,770 --> 01:28:56,849
[Music]

1282
01:28:58,800 --> 01:29:01,840
lori

1283
01:28:59,920 --> 01:29:03,199
get out of the truck both of you tell

1284
01:29:01,840 --> 01:29:06,360
them that it's safer if you don't travel

1285
01:29:03,199 --> 01:29:06,360
with them

1286
01:29:10,800 --> 01:29:14,120
with savoury

1287
01:29:24,310 --> 01:29:27,759
[Music]

1288
01:29:31,630 --> 01:29:44,460
[Music]

1289
01:29:41,520 --> 01:29:47,550
up

1290
01:29:44,460 --> 01:29:47,550
[Music]

1291
01:30:03,120 --> 01:30:06,880
walter let me be frank with you you'll

1292
01:30:05,520 --> 01:30:09,520
never make it across the border dressed

1293
01:30:06,880 --> 01:30:09,520
as an mp

1294
01:30:10,639 --> 01:30:15,560
nine

1295
01:30:12,239 --> 01:30:15,560
come with me

1296
01:30:26,719 --> 01:30:30,159

1297
01:30:28,080 --> 01:30:31,760
stairs open the wardrobe and put on some

1298
01:30:30,159 --> 01:30:33,520
clothes leave the clothes that you're

1299
01:30:31,760 --> 01:30:37,199
wearing on the floor

1300
01:30:33,520 --> 01:30:37,199
my husband will be home any minute hurry

1301
01:30:42,000 --> 01:30:45,000
up

1302
01:31:03,160 --> 01:31:09,040
[Music]

1303
01:31:09,679 --> 01:31:12,080
listen

1304
01:31:14,320 --> 01:31:18,080
flory loves you

1305
01:31:16,639 --> 01:31:19,679
soon this war will be over and you'll be

1306
01:31:18,080 --> 01:31:22,560
free if you leave now

1307
01:31:19,679 --> 01:31:22,560

1309
01:31:27,199 --> 01:31:31,360

tiny toes

1339
01:34:26,080 --> 01:34:31,080
as our little baby

1340
01:34:31,440 --> 01:34:37,440
eyes of blue

1341
01:34:34,480 --> 01:34:37,440
fingers too

1342
01:34:38,159 --> 01:34:41,159
cunning

1343
01:34:46,820 --> 01:34:52,440

01:36:36,300 --> 01:36:41,710
[Applause]

1370
01:36:38,620 --> 01:36:43,010
